now that i am meddling with something that goes against what the norm think wise.

understanding

the best way to understand someone/something is to get close and personal with them.
if you never come into contact with someone/something, it is likely that the perception you have about them has high inaccuracy, this is natually caused by lack of understanding.
there's nothing better than experiencing by yourself, that is, get to know that person pronto or start experiencing the one thing that you thought you will never want to get near to.
most of the time, we experienced some sort of "laziness" to get to the bottom of things, and just accept things as they are presented from the outside.
and most of the time, what presented from the outside does not reflect what is within.
our perceptions are very much influenced by "first impression" that most of us hang onto that impression we have had the first time we come into contact with a particular someone or thing.
sometimes, even before we met someone or thing, we heard about them right?
like maybe from a close friend, classmates, colleagues.
we will then have a perception about the person in question, perception that is given or so to say "transferred" from your friend to us.
and i believe many if not most of you must have experienced this.
when you really get to know this person or thing that is being talked about, you realised he or she or it is not that bad afterall.
the reason to this? just as mentioned earlier, "understanding" plays a big role in this.
perceptions varies individually and therefore when you experienced it yourself, you will have a whole different thinking about some1 or something.
it is easy to understand.
yet, all along our lives, misunderstandings occur.
because sometimes, we are just too lazy to reach out and try to understand.

out of the existing thinking

the following extract is taken and translated from a book call
"Small story, Positive Strength"

"it is a night visited by heavy rain and such lightning that roams the night sky. You are on your way back home, driving and your car is loaded. And as you drove, you passed through a bus station. There were three people still waiting for their bus, all sitting anxiously, shivering in the cold night air. One of the three, is an old lady, who seem to be feeling rather ill, all pale on her face, and next to her is a man who happen to be your life savior, who works as a doctor. he is taking care of the old lady, with a look of concern. And also sitting next to the old lady, is your dream lover.

Feeling anxious and without hesitation, you drove over. IF you may only take ONE passenger. WHO would you choose?"

------------------
the answer comes naturally, of course, would be the old lady. she is the most fragile of the three and she needs instant ride to the medical centre.
but if you choose the doctor, it is quite logical and acceptable as well because he is your life savior and you think you owe him a big one.
and if you choose to take your dream lover then, well it can be acceptable coz who knows when will you ever see a woman this perfect again?
but why not you choose to answer this way?
hand over your car keys, let the doctor drive the old lady to the medical centre and stay back with your dream girl/ boy and wait for the bus to come.
---------------
there. life is saved, and you get to know your dream lover.
---------------
i know, this short extract has lots of loopholes in it.
not really logical but then, the point i want to put across is,
most of the time, we are trapped within a linear thinking. and we just follow the expected thinking style that we become so predictable and lifeless (in terms of having repetitive old ideas).
and soon, we lose interest that we stop stimulate our mind and stop giving more ideas.
holding the perception "i am not going to be able to give brilliant ideas anyway"
NO NO NO...
don't give up on yourself that easily.
you read, you listened, you watched, you learned, you experienced.
and that is what makes stimulates your ideas.
one is different from another, and you already know that.
so don't doubt your mind.
you will be surprised what brilliant ideas that are hidden underneath/ behind the barrier you set for yourself.

Belief and Reality

"You cannot separate your beliefs about reality from the reality you experience. Your beliefs about reality form it. Your ideas about what is possible and what is not possible are reflected in all areas."

Quoted from Seth's 'The Nature of Personal Reality'

i agree this world is form by atoms and molecules which is on constant movement...and i see them as the unit itself that has their own level of consciousness..
in short, reality is nothing but atoms and molecules in the simplest term.

Reality.
we can never cease to believe that what we feel and see is real.
but what if one day, someone...
set up all the so called "realities" and tell you whatever you see or hear is real
will you EVER have the idea that tells you it is not REAL?
will you ever think about it at all?
will you for one second doubt the reality, when it is those who are close to you who tells you repetitively that what you see is real?
will you take it seriously when there's a someone who then tells you that everything is not really real?
you will say "you are crazy, this... (looking around) is REAL.. i am REAL."
yes, you are real.
you are real because you believe you are.
you grow up believing you are.
but sometimes our consciousness is too obsess with the "real" that we can not see the things that is "unreal" to us.
we say there is no such thing as ghost. that is a myth. an eerie story to scare ourselves off to get the mere excitement off it.
however true or untrue that is, if ghost exists, maybe it will be the other way round, that for them who live in the reality of ghost, we are in return perceived to be "ghost" to that other reality.
well.. it is just an example.
for me, ghost, is just a term. a label.
sometimes merely a label can not really represent the thing as a whole.
so for the most, i choose not to take the term too seriously.

consciousness. reality. beliefs.
our beliefs formed our reality.
and it is through our consciousness to persist and keep our beliefs and reality alive.

Solitaire Mystery

where do i come from?

Some time ago, I read a book entitled "The Solitaire Mystery", and to my astonishment, it turned out to be quite a nice read. I absolutely loving it! The story was about a boy, started his journey along with his father, in search of his mother who ran away. The way the author related the story with philosophical issue that captivated my interest. The author successfully brought out the main issue, "where do we come from" and "why do we exist"..

The story circulates around a pack of solitaire. Through the conversation between the boy and his father, the author discussed about his view upon the matter which actually closely relate to us. According to the author, each and every one of us were a Joker.

In a pack of solitaire, there's at least one Joker. And the Joker, is the only card that does not belong to the four family (heart, spade, diamond and club). So the Joker stands alone, and alone he is, to be able to see clearly, without being clouded by untruth.

In the story, there was a stranded sailor on an island. He felt so lonely that he started to imagine that the pack of solitaire he had in his pocket was alive. After many years, every card eventually became alive. Yet, they didn't know that they were just imaginative items of that old sailor. They had never questioned themselves, "where did they come from", "why were they here".. But not the Joker. The Joker was the last to come alive, and he alone did not belong to any "family". He kept questioning himself and the others the same question. But the others, were just repeatedly doing the every day chores, without doubt. They worked, they ate, they slept.. ain't this mirroring us in reality?

Well, it's true that we seldom question ourselves the doubts, like "where do we come from", "why we do this" and all.. how do we find answer? There are no exact answer for our doubts.

"Why do our brain is so complicated?", once the boy asked his dad. From the way his dad answered, one cannot deny that there wasn't truth within his words. How did he asnwered? He said," Human's brain is too complicated that we cannot understand it. Yet, if we have a simpler brain, we won't have the ability to understand it either. As our brain is too simple, that we become unintelligent to understand ourselves. For instance, the brain of a bug is so simple that it does not understand how its brain works.

there are more to think about, after reading that book. And this is the kind of book that interest me most.
