CNY.. part 1

Chinese New Year.. brings all together under one roof.
Yet, is the heart still attached to the root of the family?
is everything as it once were?

closeness

everywhere we go we want to feel like we are a part of something. may it be a family, clique, association and more. throughout our lives, we have lots of identity. not just one, but more than one. but of course, there's always one main identity, which we may regard it as our "constant". the one identity that we can always refer back to, that is always there.
CNY is here. most of us would trace back to our source, to the root of our origin in this social system- family. Family, how close are you to your family? pretty close, most of us would say. are you close enough to reveal the true you? do you trust each other enough to reveal the possibly scared soul that has been tormented by the reality of the world? YES of course. that's what family's for. trusting one another and also at the same time, act as the healer for our lost souls.
Today, most of us are lost souls. may it be city lost souls, money lost souls, lost souls of lust and greed... and more. Family, hence, is one of the structure which act as a reminder to us, remind us of who we are, or who we once were.

improvement list- introspective view

to achieve my goal, what i need to do is to always have introspection and evaluate on my performance.

as i am still lacking of real world working experience, it is a major setback for me to set foot into this field, not until i have my real working experience that i know how much more i need to improve while dealing with the real crowd.

however, i have my own list based on my observation, and all the comments i get from others.

1. Tempo and Speed
i am said to have the fluency but not speaking fast enough for some listeners. (yes i admit...) i can speak a lot faster in real life, so probably need to get used to the speed as i speak into the microphone. as for what i realised about my talk, i kind of lose the tempo/momentum sometimes, which i have a lot more of hard work to do. (i find that using background music helps.)

2. Flexibility
Still have a lot to improve on this one. needing more real exposure and experience.

3. Tendency to stall time/ fill in silence unit using... "well"... "you know"...
Gosh! i need a fix to this one!!

4. Lack of vocabulary
where did all the words go? totally vapourised as i sit down facing the microphone! haha... mic- phobia? nahh...... can't be. gotta work on this. gotta get used to the mic.

5. Flow
Just need to work on this a bit. xD

Difficulties

Greeat. after days of hyper-ish. i am suddenly hitting a real low down, just like crashing back onto the real harsh reality.

once again, it is proven that life is full of ups and downs. yet another challenge knocked on our door, staring at us in the eye.

just hope so that we will find a solution soon. *pray* together i believe we can get through this and everything is going to be alright.

i got to have my desire under control. else, my purse is going to bleed like hell (already bleeding badly though)
i desire for lots of stuffs lately. namely, all about fashion.
i am not a fashion goer. but though, lately i am more fashion conscious. though i still make wardrobe malfunction from time to time. oh well, experimenting is a good start. (yea i am just starting ... lolz i am such a late bloomer)

better start now than later, coz... working in mass media is all about packaging isn't it? lolz

it's been a while since i step foot at NEC again. and therefore how can I missed out the chance to check back at our beloved Wave Corner?!

i am sorry for being MIA for sooo long. well, i guess i would have to continue my MIA-ing from blogsphere until i find a time to settle down (really) and to bring more fresh ideas for my blog.

wouldn't it be better if you can just let down all the guards and just strive on, with confidence?
im sorry i don't get it.

Distance

even a milimetre distance away..
can be so captivatingly suffocating.
i am stubborn. those that seem unreachable is always where i am heading.
wanting to get so near, and thus the distance in between became more and more materialsed as if made of cold hard rock.
communications seem hanging like a thin thread, threaten to break at any second.
as i edge nearer, everything seem to be threatening in turning into vapour.
and therefore i moved away, and then it all became foggy and an air of mystery added to the already unreachable.
getting tired of entrapping within this dilemma.
wouldn't it be easier not to care as much about everything in this world?
yes, it would. it will be less of a hassle, too.

Orientation was here!

it was not my first time joining orientation. but it was my first not being one of the students that had to sit tight from morning till noon (with 1 or 2 occasional breaks in between, that is, toilet breaks if you want to), with hardly any entertainment at all (all dry speeches guaranteed to put anyone to sleep).

well, i was there on both days and both days were freaking boring. they just had no idea how to pull a proper orientation. hello... they are students, young and lively souls! they need some entertainment. some real entertainment. shouldn't just throw everything at them and "voila" end of orientation, "have a wonderful time at xxxx" Gosh. haha that was how it was for my orientation last MAY. B-O-R-I-N-G. very unlike what i experienced in NEC. (old and better days still fresh in memory)

anyhow..

classes start on Monday!! whooa yay! :) gotta get prep up and get ready for new semester!

Circus..

at most time, i take the back seat and observe.
however, sometimes i enjoy to get centre-staged and take the lead, especially when my confidence goes up the roof. :P
