Stereotyping Men

stereotypes for both genders have been existed since the start of civilisation and it has been bringing down from the ancestors even after we have waved good bye to the old days...
mainstream media, especially movies and television, have been continuously keeping stereotypes about men and women alive by reinforcing ideas about what it means to be a "real" man in our society. The portrayal of men in media leads to social acceptance of men as socially powerful and always dominates in all the main social settings.

How do the images in media relate to the men we know in our daily lives? Very often it seems clear that they are very different. For the most part, they are less real, more perfect and more predictable. Men are always portrayed as heroes who saved the day and vulnerable women will predictably fall madly in love for the heroes who saved their delicate lives. In the unreal world depicted in movies and tv shows, men are strong and powerful.

Moreover, the image of men depicted in movies and tv is always PERFECT. Perfect in the sense of their hairstyle, their clothing, physique, basically everything. Men in the virtual world are muscular and have the ideal body that every men dream of and every women lust after.

how much we hope our boys are that HOT eh?

however... we girls know what is mere representation of male image and what is supposely real men.

seriously.. we girls (and women) think you are cute enough in your own skin. honestly, we know what reality is.. so stop those insecure thinking! xD

eye candy is another thing, they are mostly good to be look at, from a distance.

we love you for you. ^^
